Students are free to select from a wide variety of activities related to Internet Studies, in order to maximize their participation and interest. Given this freedom, students must take the responsibility to ensure that their activities are educational and appropriate. They must check with their peers, parents and Mr. Cooper if there is any doubt regarding the appropriateness of their activity.
Possible acceptable activities include:
Web Page building and development
Internet based projects
Research
Peer collaboration and/or instruction
Unacceptable classtime activities include:
Online game playing
Unacceptable language
Unmonitorable or secret chat
Unauthorized or secret hacking
Creation or distribution of viruses
Any activity that would not be approved of by peers, Mr. Cooper or parents.
This last unacceptable activity is purposely overly broad insofar as the students must take responsibility for their own behavior, but there must be parameters set.
